Class Policies

-
Assignments (Homework & Programs)
-
All work is individual unless expressly decriibed as a group project
in the written assignment description.
-
All group work must contain the names of all participants on each submission.
-
All work is subject to inquiry by questioning the author as to the
content, methods, etc. used to produce the work.
(You can get help
but you must understand the result)
-
In any case, the grade finally depends on my estimation of your knowledge
and understanding of the written content.
-
You must submit assignments at the times and in the manner prescribed.
Otherwise the assignment is unacceptable and the grade is 0.
-
Attendance
-
Attendance is expected at ALL class meetings, especially including:
-
exams
-
finals week
-
before and after vacations/holidays
-
Attendance means present, prepared and participating
-
The only excuse for non-attendance is an excuse from the Dean of
A&S.
-
Un-excused failure to attend >= 4 hours (50 minutes/hr) of classes will
result in 1 of:
-

-
loss of 1 letter grade per 4 class hours missed
-
Attendance is measured by:
-
presence at quizzes, exams, etc.
-
failure to hand in homework or other in class assignments
-
roll calls
-
'Makeup's'
