National Society of Black Engineers
Founded in 1975, the National Society of Black Engineers is the premier organization serving blacks in engineering and technology. With more than 300 collegiate chapters, 80 Alumni Extension chapters and dozens of NSBE Jr. chapters in the U.S. and abroad, NSBE supports and promotes the aspirations of college and university students, pre-college students and technical professionals. NSBE’s mission is “to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.”
