Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Science
This major is designed for students who plan to apply their computing knowledge in scientific or engineering environments including software engineering. It is also designed for students who plan to seek advanced degrees in computer science or a related discipline. This major facilitates a minor in mathematics.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems
This major is designed for students who plan to apply their computing knowledge in business environments as applications programmers and systems analysts. It is also designed for students who plan to seek advanced degrees in business administration, management, or computer or management information systems. The major embodies a minor in business.
Master of Science in Software Engineering Science
This degree, which is based on a curriculum from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), is designed to teach principles in engineering, computer science, and information engineering. This degree may be a terminal degree for software engineering professionals or preparation for receiving a Ph.D. in computing.
Minor in CIS for other majors
The Department of CIS also offers a minor in CIS for students majoring in other disciplines. It requires a completion of 22 credit hours.
